The search for Nepal Telecom Miss Newa 1141 has been completed after finalizing the winner of the competition in the grand finale hosted on 15th Falgun 2077 B.S. at Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi Kathmandu. The event witnessed Krisha Maharjan being crowned as the winner of the competition and earned one lakh rupees as the cash prize. Besides being the winner Krisha also bagged the award called best in Nepal Bhasa. As the winner, Krisha received the appointment as a goodwill ambassador for Nepal Cancer Relief Society, Nagarjun Municipality and Nepal Kyokushin-Seishin Kaikan Karate Association.
In the event along with Miss Public Choice award Priya Tandukar bagged first runner-up position while along with Miss Charming award Kristina Maharjan earned second runner-up position. Likewise in the event, Manika Khadgi was chosen as the winner of Talent and Photogenic category while Ruhina Maharjan bagged the award of Best Skin and Social welfare ambassador chief. Similarly, the event saw Manisha Maharjan as the winner of Best Dress award while Anjila Maharjan earned Miss Discipline award. Lenika Dongol bagged Best Hair and Miss Personality award while Sourya Shahi was chosen as Best Smile whereas Swikrity Maharjan was awarded Miss Friendship award.
The event was been judged by the panel of jury members that included chairman of Nepal Kyokushin-Seishin Kaikan Karate Association- Shihan Ashok Kumar Shrestha, Manager of Nepal Telecom- Saroj Kumar Shakya, President of Special Olympics Nepal- Dr. Shikshita Shrestha, Director for CONCERN Nepal- Dr, Bijay Sainju, Former Miss NEWA- Alisha Bajracharya and Vice-Chairperson of Nepal Lipi Guthi- Anil Sthapit.
The event was been organized by Nepalese Fashion Home and was been choreographed by Rojin Shakya. In the event, Former Miss Newa Sunita Dongol was been Nepal Bhasa Instructor and Rejisha Dongol directed the opening act of the contestants. The event was been graced by the Honorable Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Parbat Gurung. The contestants were been dressed in the beautiful designer pieces designed by the student designers of IEC college of art and fashion and were groomed in hair and make-up by the team from Beauty Glow Studio.
